शाकम्भरी माता, साँभर
  • शाकम्भरी माता का प्राचीन सिद्धपीठ जयपुर जिले के साँभर क़स्बे में स्थित है। शाकम्भरी माता साँभर की अधिष्ठात्री देवी हैं। साँभर एक प्राचीन कस्बा है जिसका पौराणिक, ऐतिहासिक, धार्मिक और पुरातात्त्विक महत्त्व है।
  • इतिहास के अनुसार चौहान वंश के शासक वासुदेव ने सातवीं शताब्दी में साँभर झील और साँभर नगर की स्थापना शाकम्भरी देवी के मंदिर के पास में की। विक्रम संवत 1226 (1169 ई.) के बिजोलिया शिलालेख में चौहान शासक वासुदेव को साँभर झील का निर्माता व वहाँ के चौहान राज्य का संस्थापक उल्लेखित किया गया है।
  • शाकम्भरी के नामकरण के विषय में  उल्लेख है की एक बार इस भू-भाग में भीषण अकाल पड़ने पर देवी ने शाक वनस्पति के रूप में अंकुरित हो जन-जन की बुभुक्षा शांत कर उनका भरण पोषण किया तभी से इसका नाम शाकम्भरी पड़ गया, जिसका अपभ्रंश ही साम्भर है।
  • शाकम्भरी माता का मंदिर साँभर से 18-19 कि.मी. दूर साँभर झील के पेटे में स्थित है, जहाँ दर्शनार्थी श्रद्धालुओं का तांता लगा रहता है। साँभर का ऐतिहासिक और पुरातात्त्विक महत्त्व भी अत्यधिक है।
  • शाकम्भरी देवी की पीठ के रूप में साँभर की प्राचीनता महाभारत काल तक चली जाती है। महाभारत (वनपर्व), शिव पुराण (उमा संहिता), मार्कण्डेय पुराण आदि पौराणिक ग्रन्थों में शाकम्भरी की अवतार-कथाओं में शाकादि प्रसाद दान द्वारा धरती के भरण-पोषण  कथायें  उल्लेखनीय हैं।
  • प्रतिवर्ष भादवा सुदी अष्टमी को शाकम्भरी माता का मेला भरता है। इस अवसर पर सैकड़ों की संख्या में श्रद्धालु देवी के दर्शनार्थ यहाँ आते हैं। चैत्र तथा आसोज के नवरात्रों में यहां विशेष चहल-पहल रहती है। यहाँ तीर्थयात्रियों व श्रद्धालुओं के विश्राम हेतु धर्मशालाओं की समुचित व्यवस्था है।
  • देशभर में मां शाकंभरी माता के तीन शक्तिपीठ हैं: पहला प्रमुख राजस्थान से सीकर जिले में उदयपुर वाटी के पास सकराय मां के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। दूसरा स्थान राजस्थान में ही सांभर जिले के समीप शाकंभर के नाम से स्थित है और तीसरा उत्तरप्रदेश में सहारनपुर से 42 किलोमीटर दूर कस्बा बेहट से शाकंभरी देवी का मंदिर 15 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।

  • श्री सांवलिया सेठ मंदिर भगवान श्री कृष्ण को समर्पित एक प्रमुख मंदिर है जो चित्तौड़गढ़ से 40 किमी दूर मण्डफिया ग्राम में स्थित है।
  • श्री सांवलिया सेठ मंदिर में भगवान कृष्ण की काले रंग की प्रतिमा है, इन्हें साँवरिया सेठ मंदिर के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। 
  • किवदंतियों के अनुसार सन 1840 मे भोलराम गुर्जर नाम के ग्वाले को एक सपना आया की भादसोड़ा - बागूंड के छापर मे 3 मूर्तिया ज़मीन मे दबी हुई है. जब उस जगह पर खुदाई की गयी तो भोलराम का सपना सही निकला और वहा से 3 एक जैसे मूर्तिया निकली. सभी मूर्तिया बहुत ही मनोहारी थी.
  • इन मूर्तियो मे साँवले रूप मे श्री कृष्ण भगवान बाँसुरी बजा रहे है. इनमे से एक मूर्ति मण्डपिया ग्राम ले जायी गयी और वहा पर मंदिर बनाया गया । दूसरी मूर्ति भादसोड़ा ग्राम ले जायी गयी और वहा पर भी मंदिर बनाया गया । तीसरी मूर्ति को यही प्राकट्य स्थल पर ही मंदिर बना कर स्थापित की गयी । कालांतर में तीनो मंदिरों की ख्याति भी दूर-दूर तक फेली। आज भी दूर-दूर से हजारों यात्री प्रति वर्ष दर्शन करने आते हैं।

Arbuda Devi, Mount Abu | Adhar Devi Temple

Adhar Devi (Arbuda Devi) Temple is situated in Mount Abu of Sirohi. The Adhar Devi Temple is one of the popular religious themed tourist destinations in the Mount Abu region. It is situated three kilometers north of the main town of Mount Abu. The Adhar Devi Temple can be reached by climbing up 365 stairs carved into the mountain. The temple itself is located inside a rocky cleave and is reached by crawling through a small opening into the cave. The Adhar Devi Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. It got its name because the legend has it that "Adhar" of the Mataji (Goddess deity) fell here, also it was believed that the image of the goddess could be found there hanging in mid air. As well as being a popular tourist destination, the Adhar Devi Temple is also a common destination for many religion pilgrimages. The Adhar Devi temple receives most pilgrims during the 9 days of the holy Navratri season.

Pavapuri Dham, Sirohi (Rajasthan)

Pavapuri Tirtvh Jiv Metri Dham is situated at Sirohi district of Rajasthan. This campus is developed by K. P. Sanghvi Group and it comprises of a Jain Tirth (Temple complex) and Jeev Raksha Kendra (Animal Welfare Center). The Tirth derived its name after the Pavada Agriculture well that exists there. Shri Kumarpalbhai V. Shah inspired Late Shri Hajarimalji Poonamchandji Sanghvi (Bafna) and Shri Babulalji Poonamchandji Sanghvi (Bafna), the founders of K. P. Sanghvi Group, to construct a Tirth Dham. They started construction and development of the campus on May 30, 1998, Saturday (Jeth Shukla 15, 2054 V. S.). The initial thought was to construct a small temple and a shelter for 100 cows only but by God’s grace and blessings the campus is now spread over more than 500 acres of land. The temple complex occupies 31,01,472 sq. ft. area and the Jeev Raksha Kendra (Animal Welfare Center) occupies 71,96,112 sq. ft. area to provide shelter to 6,300 stray cattle. It took two and a half years to construct the temple with an average of 400 artisans working daily. The construction was completed on February 07, 2001, Wednesday (Magh Shukla 14, 2057 V. S.) and was finally opened for worship. The devotees were spellbound during the Pratishtha Mahotsav, opening ceremony of the Tirth Dham.

Om banna Temple, Photos, Story

Om Banna is shrine near Jodhpur, India, devoted to a motorcycle god, also called Bullet Baba. Om Banna Dham is located Jodhpur to Pali national highway shift while going to shift approximately 20 km before Rohit police station "accident prone" area of ​​the board looks more than a few steps away the side of the road in the woods about 30 to 40 offerings and prayers goods lined with shops visible as well as mirrored crowd, surrounded by a terrace on which a large photo engaged, and constantly holy burning flame  and pops to see a single full of fresh flower  bullet motorcycle. Om Banna Story: Om banna or Om Singh Rathore belongs to Rathore family of Chotila. In 1991, on the way from Pali to Chotila, he drove into a tree and his motorcycle fell into a ditch which killed him on the spot. The motorcycle was seized by the local police and taken to the police station but was found the next morning at the accident spot. The bike was seized and taken back to Police station again where it was locked and chained, but it was found at the same place next morning again. The legend says that the bike without fail made it out of the police station even when the fuel tank was allegedly emptied. It is popularly believed that no matter what the policemen did Om Bana's Bullet returned to the accident site before dawn. This was seen as a godly miracle by the people who continue to worship the Bullet Bike still. Om Banna Dham chotila Rohit Pali district is opened every time 24 hour in every season with holy burning flame called Jyote.There are many shopes full of worship things.There are above 50 small and big shops near by Om Bnna Ji Dham Chottila on National highway Jodhpur to Pali Ahmadabad its also opened every season in 24 hour because any time many devotes  visit here. This temple is known as "Bullet Baba's temple".

Fort of Amber, Chittorgarh, Gangron, Jaisalmer, Kumbhalgarh and Ranthambore included in UNESCO World Heritage List

The 'Hill Forts of Rajasthan', six forts located on the rocky terrains of the Aravali mountains, made it to the World Heritage Sites list of UNESCO. The hill forts are Amber, Chittorgarh, Gangron, Jaisalmer, Kumbhalgarh and Ranthambore. Rajasthan's Tourism, Art and Culture Minister Bina Kak said: "The selection of these forts is a reflection of our work done in the past. We stand by our commitment towards conservation and protection of our rich cultural heritage, of which we are immensely proud." The minister added that the hill forts were approved in the 37th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Pnom Penh, Cambodia, June 21. The selection of these forts as a serial cultural property is the first of its kind ever by the Unesco, she said. Kak added that the six forts will receive enhanced international recognition like the Jantar Mantar in Jaipur after it was selected for the World Heritage List in 2010.
The selection will also pave the way for other monuments to be nominated for being included in the World Heritage List. Built between 18th and 19th centuries, the forts are excellent example of Rajput military hill architecture, which are found in palaces, temples, memorials and even in villages. Several missions of International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), an advisory body to the Unesco, have been visiting Rajasthan since 2011 and discussed the nomination with the state archaeology department, Archaeological Survey of India and the Indian Advisory Committee on the World Heritage under the union ministry of culture.

Bohra Ganesh Ji Temple, Udaipur Rajasthan

Trinetra Ganesh Temple: Trinetra Ganesh Temple devoted to Lord Ganesh is located in Ranthambhore fort, Ranthambhore in Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan. Shree Ganesha drives away all sorrows, difficulties, and miseries. Shree Ganesha is the enemy of all obstacles. Shree Ganesha is the destroyer of obstacles. Shree Ganesha confers happiness and peace (on his devotees). Shree Ganesha is the master of all these powers (intellect (buddhi) and fulfillment (siddhi, self-realization). 

Tanot Mata Temple, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

Tanot Mata Temple: Tannot Mata temple is situated in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The village is close to the border with Pakistan, and is very close to the battle site of Longewala of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Tourists cannot go beyond this temple to see the Indo–Pak Border without permission from authorities. It is now a tourist destination in India. The area is said to have oil and gas reserves. 
History behind Tanot Mata Temple: It is said that during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Pakistani Army dropped several bombs targeting the temple but none of the bombs could fall on the temple and large number of the bombs in the vicinity of the temple did not explode. After the war the temple management was handed over to Border Security Force of India. On date Border Security Force Jawans man the temple. The temple has a museum which has collections of the unexploded bombs dropped by Pakistan.

Dhai Din Ka Jhonpra, Ajmer

Dhai Din Ka Jhonpra, Ajmer: Adhai or Dhai Din Ka Jhonpra Ajmer is a superb example of Indo-Islamic architecture. It is believed that it was constructed in two and a half days, hence called as Adhai-Din (two and a half days). It is also believed that the name is associated to a two and a half day fair held annually nearby. The mosque was originally a Sanskrit college but later on converted into a mosque by Muhammad Ghori in 1198. He erected seven arched-wall engraved with verses from the Koran.

Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan, Ajmer

Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan, Ajmer: Soniji Ki Nasiyan also known as Jain Temple, is an architecturally rich Jain temple in Ajmer city. It was built in the late nineteenth century. The main chamber, known as the Swarna Nagari "City of Gold", has several gold-plated wooden figures, depicting several figures in the Jain religion.
Built during 1864-95 by Gauravji, the Nagar Seth of Ajmer, this temple has a stunning display of art, which attracts the tourists, devotees as well as connoisseurs of art. After the temples of Ranakpur and Mount Abu, Nasiyan temple is regarded as one of the best Jain temples in Rajasthan. Centrally located in Ajmer, the temple can be reached easily from anywhere in Rajasthan. Nasiyan Digambar Jain Temple is dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Jain 'tirthankara'. The two-storied structure of Nasiyan Temple is divided into two parts, where one is the worship area comprising the idol of Lord Adinath and the second is the museum including a hall.

Kaila Devi Fair, Karauli

Kaila Devi Fair: The annual fair of Kaila Devi, (Mahalakshmi or the goddess of wealth),is held at the village Kaila (24 kms to the south west of Karauli) in Karauli district in the month of Chaitra (Mar-Apr), lasting for a fortnight. The temple of Kaila Devi is located on the banks of the Kalisil river in the hills of Trikut, 2 Kms. to the north-west of Kaila village. Another attraction is the small temple dedicated to Bhairon, situated in the courtyard and facing the shrine of Kaila Devi is a temple of Hanuman locally called 'Languriya'. Approximately 2 lakh devotees gather during the fair. The ritual of Kanak-Dandotis is observed by staunch devotees. They cover a distance of 15 to 20 Kms to reach the temple, not on foot but by lying prostrate, making lines with their hands in that position, advancing up to the line drawn and repeating this procedure till they reach the temple.

Khoda Ganesh Ji Temple, Kishangarh Rajasthan

Khoda Ganesh Ji Temple is Gajanan ji Temple located nearly 15 Km from Kishangarh in Ajmer District of Rajasthan Khoda Ganesh Ji Mandir is build by Kishangarh Royal family nearly 250 years ago. 
Khoda Ganesh Ji Mandir is considered Holy place in Ajmer region and most newly wedded couple pray there for health and wealth. People use to come here every Wednesday or Sunday to do prayer to lord Ganesha, while mostly people visits Khoda Ganesh Ji temple on Wednesday.

Sanwariya Seth Temple, Mandaphia: Sanwaliya Seth is Avatar of Lord Krishna.Sanwaliyaji also known as sanwariyaji or sanwariya seth or sanwara seth or setho ke seth.This temple is very famous in north india especially in Rajasthan, Gujrat, Maharashtra,Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh.

Eklingji Temple Udaipur, Rajasthan

Eklingji Temple Udaipur: Eklingji temple is located at a distance of about 22 km from Udaipur. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, a Hindu deity held in high regard by the kings of Mewar, the Eklingji Temple is believed to have been founded by Acharya Vishwaroop. The sprawling temple stretches over 2500 sq feet area and towers to a height of 65 feet. The temple has ramparts protecting it and is built of sandstone and marble, both indigenously available materials.
Begun in 971, the temple complex was built by the Guhila (later called Sesodia) dynasty of Mewar, in honor of their presiding deity Eklingji, a form of Lord Shiva. The beautifully sculpted temple complex includes 108 temples within its high walls. The main temple, which dates to the 15th century, was rebuilt from the ruins of an earlier destroyed temple. The walled complex is made of marble and granite and has an enormous double-storied, elaborately pillared hall or "mandap" under a vast pyramidal roof, with a four-faced image of Lord Shiva in black marble. Another temple in the complex is the Lakulish Temple; built in 971, it is the only temple of the Lakulish sect in the whole of India.
