महिला गौरव एक्सप्रेस बस सेवा

राजस्थान के सफर पर निकलने वाली महिलाओं की यात्रा अब और ज्यादा सुरक्षित और भयमुक्त होने जा रही है। चाहे रात का सफर हो या फिर महिलाएं अकेली सफर पर निकली हों वे राजस्थान पथ परिवहन निगम की बसों में पूरी तरह महफूज साबित होंगी। आधुनिक तकनीक और सुरक्षा उपकरणों से लैस बस सेवा "महिला गौरव एक्सप्रेस" को 25 मई को केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने हरी झंडी़ दिखाकर दिल्ली के बीकानेर हाउस से रवाना किया। इस मौके पर केंद्रीय महिला और बाल विकास मंत्री मेनका गांधी, राजस्थान के परिवहन मंत्री यूनुस खान और राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग की चेयरपर्सन ललिता कुमार मंगलम भी मौजूद रहीं।

अत्याधुनिक सुविधाओं वाली इस बस का नाम 'महिला गौरव एक्सप्रेस' रखा गया है। राजस्थान की 20 बसों के साथ देशभर में लागू किए जाने वाले इस पायलट प्रोजेक्ट की शुरुआत की गई है। इस बस में मुसीबत में पड़ी महिलाओं को तत्काल सहायता के लिए व्हीकल ट्रैकिंग सिस्टम, सीसीटीवी कैमरा और पैनिक बटन की सुविधाएं दी गई हैं। इनमें दो कैमरे लगाए गए हैं, जिनमें एक स्टिल और एक वीडियो कैमरा है। अब राजस्थान सहित देश के अन्य सभी राज्यों के परिवहन निगमों की ओर से लाई जाने वाली नई बसों में इसी तरह की सुविधाएं होंगी

National Meet on Mining Sector in Jaipur on 27th May 2016

A national meeting of the Ministers in-charge of Mining Department of all State Governments has been convened under the Chairmanship of the Union Minister of Mines Shri Narendra Singh Tomar in Jaipur on 27th May 2016 to discuss the key issues pertaining to the mining sector.  This would be the second such meeting of the Mining Ministers of all the States for discussing the issues at the highest level of governance in the mining sector. 

The Jaipur national meeting of the Mining Ministers would provide an appropriate platform to discuss, review and firm up the way-ahead in expediting the pace of reforms initiated by the MMDR (Amendment) Act effective from 15.01.2015 and its adoption in respect of minor minerals as well. This high level meeting of the States’ Mining Ministers will enable intensive discussion on the issues, challenges and opportunities in the mining sector to realize its optimum potential and provide an effective platform to showcase the recent policy initiatives of the Government of India. It will also help the Central Government to take feedback on further improvements in the policy environment in the mining sector. 

The inaugural session will be chaired by the Union Minister of Steel & Mines Shri Narendra Singh Tomar. It is expected that 11 Ministers from respective states who have confirmed their participation would detail the efforts of the State Governments for promoting ease of doing business in the mining sector. They will highlight the key issues which the States may have encountered during the implementation of the reforms in mining and minerals sector. The Union Secretary Mines, Shri Balvender Kumar will start the discussion with a presentation apprising the States about the key issues of the mining sector and their current status. 

The meeting is being organized by the Ministry of Mines, through active participation and co-ordination by Geological Survey of India (GSI), National Aluminium Company Ltd. (NALCO) & Hindustan Copper Ltd. (HCL). The Mining Department of the State of Rajasthan is the co-host of this national event.  The first meeting of the Mining Ministers was held on the 19th of January 2015, immediately after the MMDR Amendment Ordinance was implemented. The first meeting was extremely fruitful in firming up the strategy for implementation of the unfolding policy paradigm based on maxim of fostering transparency and realization of fair value.

Pregnant BPL women to get 3 litre deshi Ghee

State Cabinet in its meeting decided that the five liter Desi Ghee being provided to BPL women after first institutional delivery will now be provided in two parts. Three liter ghee will be given to the pregnant woman after the first ANC and the remaining 2 liter will be given at the time of discharge after delivery. The cabinet also gave approval to the proposal related to amendment in Biomass Energy Policy – 2010 and proposal related to double the special pay of STF officers and jawans.

Talking to media persons after the cabinet meeting Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore informed that the decision to provide 3 liter Desi Ghee at the time of ANC will help in improving maternal nutrition in pregnancy and lactation period of pregnant BPL women. The pregnant BPL women to get coupon of 3 liter Ghee after check up between fourth to sixth months of pregnancy. In the beginning the scheme will be run as a pilot project in Tonk, Dholpur, Churu, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhnu, Baran and Banswara districts.
