Jaipur listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site

The walled city of Jaipur, known for its iconic architectural legacy and vibrant culture, made its entry into the UNESCO World Heritage Site list on Saturday, becoming the second city of the country after Ahmedabad to get the recognition. The decision was taken at the 43rd Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC) in the historic city of Baku, Azerbaijan, from June 30-July 10.

The committee examined the nomination of Jaipur that was supported by a majority of the countries for its inclusion on the list, a senior official said. "Just inscribed as @UNESCO #WorldHeritage Site: Jaipur City in Rajasthan, #India. Bravo"," UNESCO tweeted. In a session of its World Heritage Committee, UNESCO inscribed seven cultural sites on its World Heritage List, including those in Australia, Bahrain, China, India, Indonesia, Japan and People’s Democratic Republic of Lao. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Jaipur is a city associated with culture and valour. Elegant and energetic, Jaipur’s hospitality draws people from all over. Glad that this city has been inscribed as a World Heritage Site by @UNESCO.” Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also took to Twitter to express his pleasure, terming the declaration a “matter of great pride” and that it “will add to the glory of capital city of Rajasthan”.” He said it will “give boost to tourism. Local economy will benefit along with improving of infrastructure.”

About Narayan Das Maharaj : महाराज नारायणदास चिमनपुरा गांव के रहने वाले हैं। यह गांव त्रिवेणी धाम से लगभग दो किलो मीटर दूर है। शिष्यों के मुताबिक नारायणदास महाराज को माता-पिता छह वर्ष की उम्र में भगवानदास महाराज के पास छोड़ गए थे। नारायणदास गुरुजी की रात-दिन सेवा करते। उनसे शिक्षा-दीक्षा ली और समाज सेवा में लग गए। महाराज नारायणदास सबसे ज्यादा उम्र के वैरागी हैं। उनके शिष्य उन्हें 92 वर्ष का बताते हैं, लेकिन उन्हें देख लगता है कि वे शतायु हो चुके हैं। वे श्रद्धालुओं को गौ रक्षा का संदेश देते हैं और भूखे का पेट भरना ही जीवन का सबसे बड़ा उद्देश्य समझते हैं।

22वां राष्ट्रीय युवा महोत्सव 12 से 16 जनवरी 2018 तक जयपुर में

22वां राष्ट्रीय युवा महोत्सव  12 से 16 जनवरी, 2018 तक जयपुर में आयोजित किया जायेगा। मुख्य सचिव ने बैठक में उपस्थित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा आयोजित किए जाने वाले इस कार्यक्रम में राज्य सरकार सक्रिय भागीदारी का निर्वहन कर कार्य करेगा तथा सम्बन्धित विभाग आपसी समन्वय स्थापित कर कार्य करेंगे ताकि युवा महोत्सव का जयपुर में भव्य आयोजन हो सके। 

युवा महोत्सव में भाग लेने के लिए प्रदेश, केन्द्र शाषित राज्यों सहित अन्य राज्यों के लगभग 3500 से 5000 युवा सहभागी होंगे। इन्हें जयपुर दर्शन कराने, राज्य का पर्यटन साहित्य और राज्य सरकार की 4 वर्ष की उपलब्धियों का साहित्य सुलभ कराने तथा राजस्थानी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित किए जाने के लिए अभी से तैयारी शुरू करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने बताया कि कार्यक्रम स्थल पर समुचित रौशनी, पेयजल, साफ-सफाई, सड़क व्यवस्था, मोबाईल टॉयलेट के साथ मेडीकल टीम की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करने के साथ ही युवा सहभागियों का राजस्थानी परम्परानुसार स्वागत किए जाने के भी निर्देश दिए।

प्रथम राष्ट्रीय आयुर्वेद युवा महोत्सव का आयोजन जयपुर में 14 से 16 सितम्बर 2017 तक

प्रथम राष्ट्रीय आयुर्वेद युवा महोत्सव (Rashtriya Ayurvedic Yuva Mahotsav Jaipur 2017) का आयोजन 14 से 16 सितंबर 2017 को जयपुर में राष्ट्रीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान में किया जाएगा। इस महोत्सव में 21 राज्यों से 3000 से अधिक प्रतिभागी शामिल होंगे। इस महोत्सव का आयोजन राष्ट्रीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान, जयपुर एवं विज्ञान भारती की इकाई नेशनल आयुर्वेद स्टुडेंट्स एवं यूथ एसोसिएशन (नस्या) द्वारा केन्द्रीय आयुष मंत्रालय के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है। इस संबंध में रविवार को राष्ट्रीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान, जयपुर में महोत्सव की स्वागत समिति की बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैैठक में सांसद श्री रामचरण बोहरा ने कहा कि वर्र्तमान युग में आयुर्वेद को आधुनिक रूप देने के लिए ऊर्जावान छात्रों व वैद्यों की आवश्यकता है तथा यह राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर आयोजित होने वाला युवा महोत्सव छात्रों के बहुआयामी व्यक्तित्व के विकास के लिए योगदान करेगा।

इस अवसर पर विधायक, श्री सुरेन्द्र पारीक ने कहा कि प्राचीन भारतीय चिकित्सकीय पद्धति बहुत अमूल्य है जिसे कम प्रोत्साहन मिला है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस तरह के महोत्सव से न केवल आमजन को आयुर्वेदिक इलाज के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी मिल पाएगी बल्कि इससे आयुर्वेद भी मुख्य धारा में आ जाएगा। इस महोत्सव के माध्यम से आयुर्वेद के क्षेत्र में नया विजन आएगा। इस अवसर पर विज्ञान भारती के सेकेट्ररी जनरल श्री ए. जयकुमार ने कहा कि आयुर्वेद के सभी छात्रों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए तथा राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर एक मुहिम चलाने के उद्देश्य से इस कार्यकम का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि छात्रों की प्रतिभा निखारने के साथ साथ यह महोत्सव आयुर्वेद के प्रचार प्रसार में भी सहायक होगा।

President delivers first Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Lecture

President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee delivered the 1st Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Lecture on the topic “History of Parliamentary Democracy in India” today (May 15, 2017) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He also presented the 1st Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Life Time Achievement Honour in Public Service to Shri Pawan Kumar Chamling, Chief Minister of Sikkim on the occasion. Addressing the gathering the President said he was honoured to be invited to deliver the inaugural Memorial Lecture instituted in memory of our former Vice-President Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, an outstanding statesman and a man of the masses. 

The President stated that Shri Shekhawat and he shared a long history of friendship. Both of them served together in the Rajya Sabha in the 1970s. Later, while Shri Shekhawat was Chief Minister of Rajasthan and the President was Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission, he had opportunity to see Shri Shekhawat’s extensive knowledge about problems being faced by citizens of Rajasthan, and his will to eradicate these day to day problems. He was deeply impressed by Shri Shekhawat’s commitment to the downtrodden and poor.  The President also congratulated Shri Pawan Kumar Chamling, Chief Minister of Sikkim on being conferred the 1st Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Life Time Achievement Honour in Public Service. He said that Shri Chamling has made unique contribution to the State of Sikkim which has emerged as a role model. 

In his Memorial Lecture, the President spoke about the History of Parliamentary Democracy in India. He said that he had outlined the history of representative Government for a specific purpose which was to underline the fact that if prominent legislators of pre-independence days with limited powers, could have done so much, how much more can be done by our MPs, MLAs and MLCs of today.  The President said that the 3 Ds – Debate, Dissension and Decision are essential in a Parliamentary system of democracy. Democracy should provide for an enabling environment which helps every section of the society to fully participate in the process of governance.

अजमेर, जयपुर और जोधपुर को सोलर सिटी बनाने के प्रस्ताव केन्द्र द्वारा मंजूर

राजस्थान के अजमेर, जयपुर और जोधपुर शहरों को सोलर सिटी बनाने के प्रस्ताव को केन्द्र सरकार द्वारा मंजूरी प्रदान कर अजमेर के लिए, 50 लाख और जोधपुर के लिए, 43.50 लाख रूपये स्वीकृति प्रदान की है। जयपुर के लिए भी शीघ्र ही बजट आवंटन होने की उम्मीद है। उक्त जानकारी जयपुर सांसद श्री रामचरण बोहरा द्वारा लोकसभा में पूछे सवाल के जवाब में केन्द्रीय उर्जा राज्यमंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री पीयूष गोयल ने दी। उन्होंने बताया कि डवलपमेंट ऑफ सोलर पार्क्स एण्ड अल्ट्रा मेगा सोलर पॉवर प्रोजेक्ट स्कीम के अंतर्गत केन्द्र सरकार द्वारा राजस्थान में भाडला फेज-द्वितीय, सोलर पार्क (680 मेगावाट) भाडला फेज-तृतीय (1000 में मेगावाट), भाडला फेज-चार (500 मे मेगावाट), फलौदी पोकरण सोलर पार्क (1000 मे मेगावाट), फतहगढ़ प्रथम सोलर पार्क-प्रथम ब (321 मे मेगावाट) सोलर पार्क्स की स्वीकृति प्रदान की गई है। इससे राजस्थान में सोलर पॉवर क्षमता में काफी वृद्धि होगी।

ग्लोबल राजस्थान एग्रीटेक मीट 2016 में बुधवार को कृषि की नवीनतम तकनीकियों से किसान मंत्रमुग्ध नजर आए। प्रदर्शनी में हजारों की संख्या में किसानों ने कृषि से संबधित नवाचारों का अवलोकन किया। प्रदर्शनी में कृषि, पशुपालन, मुर्गीपालन, बागवानी, गोपालन सहित कृषि के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र पर कुल 216 स्टॉल लगाई गई है। ग्राम के दौरान कुल 20 हजार वर्ग मीटर क्षेत्र में प्रदर्शनी लगाई गई है। प्रदर्शनी क्षेत्र को विभिन्न श्रेणियों में विभाजित किया गया है जिनमें पशुधन, पोस्ट हार्वेस्टिंग टेक्नोलॉजीज, एग्री इनपुट्स एवं प्रोटेक्टेड कल्टीवेशन, आर्गेनिक फॉर्मिग, फूड एवं फूड प्रोसेसिंग टेक्नालॉजीज, कृषि मशीनरी और अलाइड सर्विसेज को शामिल किया गया है। साथ ही प्रदर्शनी में वित्तीय संस्थाएं, सिंचाई, प्लास्टिकल्चर एवं प्रिसिजन फार्मिंग कुछ प्रमुख क्षेत्र है। कृषि को बढ़ावा देने के लिए स्टार्ट अप्स पर विशेष पैवेलियन लगाया गया है। 

ग्लोबल राजस्थान एग्रीटेक मीट (ग्राम) के तीसरे और आखिरी दिन पशुपालन, पशु चिकित्सा और डेयरी की जाजम (चौपाल) पर किसानों का जमघट बढ़ गया जब राज्य सरकार के तीन मंत्री किसानों की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए उनसे संवाद करने वहां पहुंचे। जलदाय मंत्री श्रीमती किरण माहेश्वरी ने काश्तकारों की समस्याओं को सुना और संबंधित अधिकारियों को आवश्यक निर्देश भी दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों की आय को सन 2022 तक दोगुना करने के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के मिशन को ग्लोबल राजस्थान एग्रीटेक मीट (ग्राम) संबल देने का काम करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि ग्राम से तकनीकी ज्ञान और कौशल प्रबंधन को सीखकर न केवल काश्तकार अपनी आमदमी में बढ़ोतरी कर पाएंगे बल्कि वे समृद्ध भी होंगे।

Vasundhara Raje and the Union Water Resources Minister Sushri Uma Bharati inaugurated an out-patient department (OPD) for Yoga at Sawai Man Singh Hospital on 21st June 2016. The duo lighted lamp amid reciting of mantras. Smt. Raje said that at this Yoga OPD centre, the first in the state, research would be conducted on Yoga. She said that this centre would help patients visiting the hospital fight mentally with the diseases. She appreciated the Medical & Health Department for developing the Yoga Centre at SMS Hospital.

Judo Federation of India (JFI) on Monday announced that it has been allotted the Commonwealth Judo Championships 2018 which will be organised in Jaipur. “The Commonwealth Judo Championships 2018 were allotted to India, by the Commonwealth Judo Congress held April 23 at Port Elizabeth, South Africa,” JFI said in a statement. The Commonwealth Judo Championships are the official event of the Commonwealth Judo Associations and are organised every two years for Cadets, Junior, Seniors, Masters and visually impaired judo players.

मुख्यमंत्री ने किया भारतीय स्किल डवलपमेंट कैम्पस का उद्घाटन

मुख्यमंत्री ने शनिवार को महिन्द्रा वल्र्ड सिटी जयपुर में 100 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से तैयार किए गए भारतीय स्किल डवलपमेंट कैम्पस (बीएसडीसी) का उद्घाटन भी किया। जो स्विस डूअल माॅडल के आधार पर पाॅलिमैकेनिक मशीनों से प्रशिक्षण देने वाला देश का सबसे बड़ा स्किल कैम्पस है। इस कैम्पस में विश्व की श्रेष्ठ डिजीटल मशीनों के साथ-साथ आधुनिकतम तकनीक पर आधारित सीएनसी, फिटिंग, टर्निंग, मिलिंग और हैण्ड स्किल के पाॅलिमैकेनिक कोर्सेज उपलब्ध हैं। जहां स्विजरलैण्ड के डूअल स्किलिंग सिस्टम के आधार पर राजस्थान के युवाओं के लिए प्रशिक्षण शुरू किया गया है और बाहर के प्रशिक्षुओं के लिए हाॅस्टल की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध है।

श्रीमती राजे ने कहा कि देश में अधिक से अधिक युवाओं को मुख्यधारा में शामिल करने के लिए उनका कौशल विकास किया जाना चाहिए। ऐसे युवा हमारे लिए एक अवसर हैं और उनकी ऊर्जा का उपयोग सकारात्मक दिशा में किया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि इसीलिए राज्य सरकार कौशल विकास पर फोकस कर रही है और इस सेक्टर में हम देशभर में लगातार अग्रणी हैं। सिंगापुर में स्किल यूनिवर्सिटी का जिक्र करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जब एक छोटे से देश में ऐसा किया जा सकता है, तो हमारे यहां क्यों नहीं। जब हमारे हाथ में हुनर होगा तो गांव, प्रदेश और देश की सीमाएं हमें रोक नहीं सकेगी।

श्रीमती राजे ने कहा कि कौशल विकास एक टीम वर्क है। यह कार्य एक व्यक्ति या संस्थान द्वारा किया जाना संभव नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि राजस्थान सरकार एक ऐसी टीम है, जिसने प्रदेश को कौशल विकास में देशभर में नम्बर एक बनाया है। राजेन्द्र एण्ड उर्सला जोशी फाउण्डेशन के प्रेसिडेंट डाॅ. आरके जोशी तथा वाइस प्रेसिडेंट श्रीमती उर्सला जोशी को बीएसडीसी के कौशल विकास केन्द्र तथा कौशल विकास विश्वविद्यालय के लिए एमओयू के प्रस्ताव के लिए धन्यवाद देते हुए श्रीमती राजे ने कहा कि राजस्थानी मूल के लोग दुनिया में जहां कहीं भी चले जाएं, वे राजस्थान को खुशहाल बनाने के लिए हमेशा आगे आते हैं।

Commemoration of 475th Birth Anniversary of Maharana Pratap

As part of “Maharana Pratap’s 475th Birth Anniversary Commemoration”, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India along with Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML), New Delhi and University of Rajasthan, Jaipur are organizing a Special Lecture and a National Conference at University of Rajasthan Campus, Jaipur on Friday, 4th March 2016. Prof. Ghanshyam Lal Devra, former Vice Chancellor of Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota will deliver the Special Lecture on the topic ‘Construction of “Mewar Legacy”: Maharana Pratap’s Conflict against the Mughals’. The Special Lecture will be followed by a Conference on “Maharana Pratap and His Times”. 

The day-long conference on ‘Maharana Pratap and His Times’ will explore the historical and cultural context of the life, work and legacy of Maharana Pratap. Scholars drawing on a variety of historical sources, Persian literary writings, epigraphic evidences, vernacular literary traditions as well as archaeological heritage will add fresh insights to the contribution of Maharana Pratap and historical significance of his times. 

Shri J.P. Singhal, Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur will deliver the Inaugural Address. Shri Sanjiv Mittal, Director, NMML and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture will preside over the function. Eminent scholars including Prof. V.K. Vashistha, Prof. K.S. Gupta, Prof. B.L. Jaipur, Udaipur among first 20 smart cities

Jaipur and Udaipur among first 20 smart cities announced today by Government as winners of the Smart City Challenge competition for financing during this financial year. Minister of Urban Development Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu said that the winners were from 11 States and the Union Territory of Delhi and the selection was totally objective and transparent based on standardized processes. Shri Naidu further said that Smart City Mission marks a paradigm shift towards urban development in the country since it is based on ‘bottom up’ approach with the involvement of citizens in formulation of city vision and smart city plans and the Urban Local Bodies and State Governments piloting the mission with little say for the Ministry of Urban Development. 

3 cities from Madhya Pradesh, two each from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and one each from the remaining five made it to the winning list. The Minister informed that 23 States and UTs who could not make to the list of winners will be given an opportunity to participate in a ‘fast track competition’. Each top ranking city form these left out states can upgrade their smart city proposals and submit them by April 15, this year for inclusion in the mission. 20 winning cities and towns have proposed a total investment of Rs.50,802 cr over five years with all the cities proposing Public-Private-Partnership as a major vehicle of resource mobilization. 10 of the 20 cities have proposed to mobilise Rs.8,521 cr under PPP model while others have also indicated this option. A total area of 26,735 acres has been identified by these cities for making them smart through necessary interventions.

शाकम्भरी माता, साँभर

• शाकम्भरी माता का प्राचीन सिद्धपीठ जयपुर जिले के साँभर क़स्बे में स्थित है। शाकम्भरी माता साँभर की अधिष्ठात्री देवी हैं। साँभर एक प्राचीन कस्बा है जिसका पौराणिक, ऐतिहासिक, धार्मिक और पुरातात्त्विक महत्त्व है।
• इतिहास के अनुसार चौहान वंश के शासक वासुदेव ने सातवीं शताब्दी में साँभर झील और साँभर नगर की स्थापना शाकम्भरी देवी के मंदिर के पास में की। विक्रम संवत 1226 (1169 ई.) के बिजोलिया शिलालेख में चौहान शासक वासुदेव को साँभर झील का निर्माता व वहाँ के चौहान राज्य का संस्थापक उल्लेखित किया गया है।
• शाकम्भरी के नामकरण के विषय में  उल्लेख है की एक बार इस भू-भाग में भीषण अकाल पड़ने पर देवी ने शाक वनस्पति के रूप में अंकुरित हो जन-जन की बुभुक्षा शांत कर उनका भरण पोषण किया तभी से इसका नाम शाकम्भरी पड़ गया, जिसका अपभ्रंश ही साम्भर है।
• शाकम्भरी माता का मंदिर साँभर से 18-19 कि.मी. दूर साँभर झील के पेटे में स्थित है, जहाँ दर्शनार्थी श्रद्धालुओं का तांता लगा रहता है। साँभर का ऐतिहासिक और पुरातात्त्विक महत्त्व भी अत्यधिक है।
• शाकम्भरी देवी की पीठ के रूप में साँभर की प्राचीनता महाभारत काल तक चली जाती है। महाभारत (वनपर्व), शिव पुराण (उमा संहिता), मार्कण्डेय पुराण आदि पौराणिक ग्रन्थों में शाकम्भरी की अवतार-कथाओं में शाकादि प्रसाद दान द्वारा धरती के भरण-पोषण  कथायें  उल्लेखनीय हैं।
• प्रतिवर्ष भादवा सुदी अष्टमी को शाकम्भरी माता का मेला भरता है। इस अवसर पर सैकड़ों की संख्या में श्रद्धालु देवी के दर्शनार्थ यहाँ आते हैं। चैत्र तथा आसोज के नवरात्रों में यहां विशेष चहल-पहल रहती है। यहाँ तीर्थयात्रियों व श्रद्धालुओं के विश्राम हेतु धर्मशालाओं की समुचित व्यवस्था है।

Resurgent Rajasthan Summit 2015 Highlights

Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015 Highlights: 

• The two-day global investment meet organised on 19, 20th November 2015 by the Government of Rajasthan in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
• Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015 attracted commitments of investments from 295 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) amounting to Rs. 3,21,199 crore with proposed employment for 2,39,694 lakh people.
• 9 MoUs in energy sector worth Rs 190,000 crores
  122 MoUs in tourism sector worth Rs 5783 crores
  40 MoUs in manufacturing sector worth Rs 11760 crores
• The largest number of MoUs were signed in tourism sector. At 122, the investment commitments stand at Rs 5783 crore. This is expected to generate 18617 jobs in the sector. 
• The medical and health sector, with 36 MoUs and expected investments of Rs 4752 crore, will create the largest number of jobs, touching 81605. 
• 10 MoUs signed in the agriculture sector worth Rs 2402 crore – this will lead to 5317 people getting employed.
• Under roads and highways, the state signed one MoU worth Rs 10,000 crore in addition to the 4 award of sanctions worth Rs 25446 crore
• Petroleum & Mines sector attracted proposed investments worth Rs 77,657 crore through 25 MoUs that can create 18,472 jobs in the State.

Sambhar Lake, Keoladeo National Park among Ramsar Wetland in Rajasthan

Sambhar Lake, Keoladeo National Park are among 26 sites of Ramsar Wetland in Rajasthan. Keoladeo National Park was designated in Ramsar Sites on 1 October 1981 and Sambhar Lake on 23 March 1990. Ramsar Convention on Wetland was held in Ramsar, Iran, in 1971, is an intergovernmental treaty which provides the framework for national action and international  cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources. There are presently 158 Contracting Parties to the Convention, with 1758 wetland  sites, totaling 161 million hectares, designated for inclusion in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance. Convention on Wetlands came into force for India on 1 February 1982. India presently has 26 sites designated as Wetlands of International Importance, with a surface area of 689,131 hectares.

Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India is a famous avifauna sanctuary that plays host to thousands of birds especially during the winter season. Over 230 species of birds are known to have made the National Park their home. It is also a major tourist centre with scores of ornithologists arriving here in the hibernal season. It was declared a protected sanctuary in 1971. It is also a declared World Heritage Site
2. Sambhar Salt Lake, India's largest inland salt lake,a bowl shape lake encircles historical Sambhar Lake Town located 96 km south west of the city of Jaipur (Northwest India) and 64 km north east of Ajmer along National Highway 8 in Rajasthan.

पहला चरण ('मत्स्य यूनियन') 18 मार्च 1948:  सबसे पहले अलवर, भरतपुर, धौलपुर, व करौली नामक देशी रियासतों का विलय कर तत्कालीन भारत सरकार ने 1  1948 मे अपने विशेषाधिकार का इस्तेमाल कर 'मत्स्य यूनियन' के नाम से पहला संघ बनाया। 18 मार्च 1948 को मत्स्य संघ का उद़घाटन हुआ और धौलपुर के तत्कालीन महाराजा उदयभानसिंह को राजप्रमुख, महाराजा करोली को उपराज प्रमुख और अलवर प्रजामंडल के प्रमुख नेता श्री शोभाराम कुमावत को मत्स्य संघ का प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया।  इसकी राजधानी अलवर रखी गयी थी। 

दूसरा चरण ('राजस्थान संघ') 25 मार्च 1948: राजस्थान के एकीकरण का दूसरा चरण 25  मार्च 1948 को स्वतंत्र देशी रियासतों कोटा, बूंदी, झालावाड, टौंक, डूंगरपुर, बांसवाडा, प्रतापगढ, किशनगढ और शाहपुरा को मिलाकर बने 'राजस्थान संघ' के बाद पूरा हुआ। राजस्थान संघ में विलय हुई रियासतों में कोटा बड़ी रियासत थी, इस कारण इसके तत्कालीन महाराजा महाराव भीमसिंह को राजप्रमुख बनाया गया। 

तीसरा चरण ('संयुक्त राजस्थान')18 अप्रैल 1948: राजस्थान संघ में उदयपुर रियासत का विलय कर 'संयुक्त राजस्थान' का निर्माण हुआ | पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू द्वारा इसका उद्घाटन किया गया | महाराणा मेवाड –भूपालसिंह राजप्रमुख व् माणिक्यलाल वर्मा प्रधानमंत्री बने | उदयपुर को इस नए राज्य की राजधानी बनाया गया | कोटा महाराव भीमसिंह को उपराजप्रमुख बनाया गया |  

चौथा चरण ('वृहत राजस्थान'') 30 मार्च 1949: 30 मार्च, 1949 में जोधपुर, जयपुर, जैसलमेर और बीकानेर रियासतों का विलय होकर 'वृहत्तर राजस्थान संघ' बना था। यही राजस्थान की स्थापना का दिन माना जाता है। देशी रियासतों जोधपुर, जयपुर, जैसलमेर और बीकानेर का विलय करवाकर तत्कालीन भारत सरकार ने 30  मार्च 1949 को वृहत्तर राजस्थान संघ का निर्माण किया, जिसका उदघाटन भारत सरकार के तत्कालीन रियासती और गृह मंत्री सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल ने किया।  हालांकि अभी तक चार देशी रियासतो का विलय होना बाकी था, मगर इस विलय को इतना महत्व नहीं दिया जाता, क्योंकि जो रियासते बची थी वे पहले चरण में ही 'मत्स्य संघ' के नाम से स्वतंत्र भारत में विलय हो चुकी थी। जयपुर महाराज सवाईमानसिंह को आजीवन राजप्रमुख, उदयपुर महाराणा भूपालसिंह को महाराज प्रमुख, कोटा के महाराज श्री भीमसिंह को उपराजप्रमुख व श्री हीरालाल शास्त्री को प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया | श्री पी. सत्यनारायण राव की अध्यक्षता में गठित कमेठी की की सिफारिशों पर जयपुर को राजस्थान की राजधानी घोषित किया गया | हाई कोर्ट जोधपुर में, शिक्षा विभाग बीकानेर में, खनिज और कस्टम व् एक्साइज विभाग उदयपुर में, वन और सहकारी विभाग कोटा में एवँ कृषि विभाग भरतपुर में रखते का निर्णय किया गया|

पांचवा चरण ('वृहत संयुक्त राजस्थान') 15 अप्रैल 1949: 15 अप्रेल 1949 को भारत सरकार ने शंकरराव देव समिति की सिफारिश को ध्यान में रखते हुए मत्स्य संघ को वृहत राजस्थान में मिला दिया | भारत सरकार ने 18 मार्च 1948 को जब मत्स्य संघ बनाया था तभी विलय पत्र में लिख दिया गया था कि बाद में इस संघ का राजस्थान में विलय कर दिया जाएगा। इस कारण भी यह चरण औपचारिकता मात्र माना गया। भारत सरकार ने शंकरराव देव समिति की सिफारिश को ध्यान में रखते हुए मत्स्य संघ को वृहत राजस्थान में मिला दिया | वहां के प्रधानमंत्री श्री शोभाराम को शास्त्री मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल  कर लिया गया |

छठा चरण 'राजस्थान संघ' 26 जनवरी 1950:  भारत का संविधान लागू होने के दिन 26 जनवरी 1950 को सिरोही रियासत का भी विलय ग्रेटर राजस्थान में कर दिया गया। इस विलय को भी औपचारिकता माना जाता है क्योंकि यहां भी भारत सरकार का नियंत्रण पहले से ही था। दरअसल जब राजस्थान के एकीकरण की प्रक्रिया चल रही थी, तब सिरोही रियासत के शासक नाबालिग थे।  सिरोही रियासत के एक हिस्से आबू देलवाडा को लेकर विवाद के कारण इस चरण में आबू व् देलवाडा तहसीलों को बम्बई प्रान्त और शेष भाग को राजस्थान में मिलाने का फेसला लिया गया |  लेकिन आबू और देलवाडा को बम्बई प्रान्त में मिलाने के कारण राजस्थान वासियों में व्यापक प्रतिक्रिया हुई | जिससे 6 वर्ष बाद राज्यों के पुनर्गठन के समय इन्हे वापस राजस्थान को देना पड़ा | 26 जनवरी,1950 को भारत के संविधान लागु होने पर राजपुताना के इस भू-भाग को विधिवत ‘राजस्थान’ नाम दिया गया |

सांतवा चरण ('वर्तमान राजस्थान') 1 नवंबर 1956: राज्य पुनर्गठन आयोग (श्री फजल अली की अध्यक्षता में गठित) की सिफारिशों के अनुसार सिरोही की आबू व् दिलवाडा तहसीलें, मध्यप्रदेश के मंदसोर जिले की मानपुरा तहसील का सुनेर टप्पा व अजमेर –मेरवाडा क्षेत्र राजस्थान में मिला दिया गया तथा राज्य के झालावाड जिले का सिरोंज क्षेत्र मध्यप्रदेश में मिला दिया गया |इस प्रकार विभिन्न चरणों से गुजरते हुए राजस्थान निर्माण की प्रक्रिया 1 नवम्बर, 1956 को पूर्ण हुई और इसी के साथ आज से राजस्थान का निर्माण या एकीकरण पूरा हुआ।  भारत सरकार के तत्कालीन देशी रियासत और गृह मंत्री सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल और उनके सचिव वी. पी. मेनन की भूमिका अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण थी। इनकी सूझबूझ से ही राजस्थान के वर्तमान स्वरुप का निर्माण हो सका।

राजस्थान के प्रमुख शिलालेख:
=> बङली का शिलालेख: बङली, अजमेर में 443 ई राज्य का प्राचीन  शिलालेख जो ब्राह्मी लिपी में उत्किर्ण है

=> घोसुंडी का शिलालेख: ब्राह्मी लिपि में संस्कृत भाषा में रचित यह अभिलेख चित्तौड़गढ़ के घोसुडी नमक स्थान पर स्थित है जिसे सर्वप्रथम डी आर भंडारकर द्वारा पढा गया था।

=> घटियाला अभिलेख (861): प्रतिहार शासक कुक्कुक कर प्रकाश डालने वाले इस घटियाला जोधपुर में स्थित अभिलेख के रचनाकार कृष्णेश्वर थे

=> रणकपुर प्रशस्ति: नागरी लिपी में रचित इस अभिलेख का रचयिता देपाक था

=> कीर्ति स्तम्भ प्रशस्ति (1460): इस शिलालेख में महाराणा कुंभा के लेखन पर प्रकाश डाला गया है साथ ही कुंभा को दी गई दानगुरू,राजगुरू,शैलगुरू की उपाधियों का उल्लेख है । रचनकार महेश भट्ट थे ।

=> कणसव शिलालेख: कणसव, कोटा में 738 ई का शिलालेख जिसमे मौर्यौं के राजस्थान संबध का पता चलता है एवं मौर्य वंशी शासक 'धवल' का उल्लेख है

=> साम्भोली अभिलेख (646): यह साम्भोली, भेमट मेवाड़ के दक्षिण में स्थित है इसमे बाहर के लोगों के बसने स्थापत्य कला, स्थानीय भीलों आदि पर प्रकाश डालता है ।

=> मंडोर शिलालेख (685): मंडोर, जोधपुर की एक बावड़ी की शीला पर उत्कीर्ण है ।  

=> मंडोर शिलालेख (861): मंडोर, जोधपुर के विष्णु मंदिर में स्थित है । इस शिलालेख से प्रतिहार वंशी शाशकों के बारे में जानकारी मिलती है ।

=> आहड़ शिलालेख (977): इस अभिलेख में मेवाड़ के शाशकों अल्लट, नरवाहन, शक्तिकुमार के बारे में जानकारी मिलती है ।

=> बिजोलिया (भीलवाड़ा) का शिलालेख, 1170 ई.

=> चीरवा (उदयपुर) का शिलालेख, 1273 ई.

=> जमवा रामगढ़ (जयपुर) प्रशस्ति, 1613 ई.

=> अपराजित का शिलालेख, नागदा (मेवाड़)- 661 ई.

=> बडवा स्तम्भ लेख, बडवा, अंता (बारां)- 238-239  ई.
