Krishi Karman Awards to Rajasthan for Wheat Production

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gave Krishi Karman Award to Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje for Rajasthan's performance as the best state in wheat production. Rajasthan recieved the award for year 2014-15 for the highest productivity of wheat. A trophy, a certificate of appreciation and Rs. 2 crore cash is given for this award. Prime Minister gave the award to the CM on Saturday during inauguration of Krishi Unnati Mela at the Indian Agriculture Research Institute, PUSA Campus in New Delhi. 
He also awarded two progressive farmers of the state Shri Bhakhra Ram of Jalore and Smt. Rampyari of Sawai Madhopur district with the Agriculture Minister's Krishi Karman award. These farmers were given the certificates of appreciation along with Rs. 2 lakh each.  Shri Bhakhraram of village Padardi in Jalore district produced wheat with per hectare productivity of 88.72 quintals and Smt. Rampyari of Village Goth in Tehsil Bamanwas in Sawai Madhopur with wheat productivity of 59.20 quintals per hectare.  State Agriculture Minister Shri Prabhu Lal Saini was also present on this occasion. Rajasthan performed as the best in wheat production by harvesting 98.24 lakh tonnes of wheat in 33.18 lakh hectares of land with average productivity of 2961 kilograms per hectare. This production is a record of the highest production in the country. 

Fort of Amber, Chittorgarh, Gangron, Jaisalmer, Kumbhalgarh and Ranthambore included in UNESCO World Heritage List

The 'Hill Forts of Rajasthan', six forts located on the rocky terrains of the Aravali mountains, made it to the World Heritage Sites list of UNESCO. The hill forts are Amber, Chittorgarh, Gangron, Jaisalmer, Kumbhalgarh and Ranthambore. Rajasthan's Tourism, Art and Culture Minister Bina Kak said: "The selection of these forts is a reflection of our work done in the past. We stand by our commitment towards conservation and protection of our rich cultural heritage, of which we are immensely proud." The minister added that the hill forts were approved in the 37th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Pnom Penh, Cambodia, June 21. The selection of these forts as a serial cultural property is the first of its kind ever by the Unesco, she said. Kak added that the six forts will receive enhanced international recognition like the Jantar Mantar in Jaipur after it was selected for the World Heritage List in 2010.
The selection will also pave the way for other monuments to be nominated for being included in the World Heritage List. Built between 18th and 19th centuries, the forts are excellent example of Rajput military hill architecture, which are found in palaces, temples, memorials and even in villages. Several missions of International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), an advisory body to the Unesco, have been visiting Rajasthan since 2011 and discussed the nomination with the state archaeology department, Archaeological Survey of India and the Indian Advisory Committee on the World Heritage under the union ministry of culture.

Trinetra Ganesh Temple

Trinetra Ganesh Temple: Trinetra Ganesh Temple devoted to Lord Ganesh is located in Ranthambhore fort, Ranthambhore in Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan. Temples dedicated to Ganesh are very famous as Shree Ganesh is the first to be worshipped before beginning any new project or venture as the Vighnaharta, the destroyer of obstacles. Wednesday is the main day of darshan and puja, but this temple is frequented by hundreds of devotees everyday. Trinetra Ganesh Temple has Lord Ganesh Idol with three eyes. Trinetra Ganesh Temple is one of most worshiped temple in south-East Rajasthan where many thousand people come every year and Ganesh Mela is organized on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
It is believed from the ancient times that Trinetra Ganesha Of Ranthambhore is the Pratham Ganesha. Lord Ganesh is God of Good Fortune , Education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth located in Ranthambhore fort, about 12 KMs from Sawai Madhopur ,Rajasthan. Shree Ganesha drives away all sorrows, difficulties, and miseries. Shree Ganesha is the enemy of all obstacles. Shree Ganesha is the destroyer of obstacles. Shree Ganesha confers happiness and peace (on his devotees). Shree Ganesha is the master of all these powers (intellect (buddhi) and fulfillment (siddhi, self-realization).
