Pittie Group's Cotton Yarn Plant Inaugurated in Jhalawar

Shri Vallabh Pittie Industries (SVP), a leading textile company with its revolutionising innovations in polyester & cotton blended yarn today inaugurated its Rs 450 crore new textile plant in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The plant is fully automated with 1,00,000 spindles holding a manufacturing capacity of 22,000 tonnes per annum and is spread across 25 acres of area. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the state government is committed to forge partnerships that promote manufacturing and create employment opportunities in Rajasthan. She said that the start of operations at the Polyester and Cotton Blended Yarn Industries plant by Shri Vallabh Pittie Group would prove to be a big leap forward in the direction of realizing the dream of Resurgent Rajasthan. Smt. Raje inaugurated the plant worth project cost Rs. 450 crore at Dhanodi Industrial Area in Jhalawar district on Thursday. 
Chief Minister said that the efforts by The Pittie Group were an excellent example of development realised by effective governance - a pillar of the Rajasthan Model of Development. "Our mission of 'Make in Rajasthan' compliments the PM's vision of Make in India," she said.  She said that setting up of this plant in a record time was a manifestation of the efforts made by the state in Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015 and validated the claim that Rajasthan was an investor friendly state. Smt. Raje said that setting up of this yarn factory would directly benefit the farmers of entire Kota division. With availability of fertile land, water for irrigation and proper electricity supply, the farmers in this region had opportunity to grow hybrid cotton, she added. This plant would give direct employment to 500 people and indirectly create livelihood opportunities for 30,000 persons. Also, two new yarn units at Kotda Jagir would be employment to 4,000 people and benefit lakhs of farmers, she added. She also inaugurated the skill development centre at the yarn factory. 

झालावाड़ के जिला कलक्टर को साहित्य अकादमी युवा पुरस्कार

झालावाड़ के जिला कलक्टर डॉ. जितेन्द्र कुमार सोनी को उनकी राजस्थानी भाषा में पुस्तक रणखार को साहित्य अकादमी नई दिल्ली ने वर्ष 2016 का साहित्य अकादमी युवा पुरस्कार प्रदान किया है। साहित्य अकादमी के सचिव डॉ. के.श्रीनिवास राव द्वारा जारी विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार डॉ. जितेन्द्र कुमार सोनी की पुस्तक रणखार को निर्णायक मण्डल द्वारा युवा पुरस्कार 2016 के लिये चुना गया है। पुरस्कारों की घोषणा साहित्य अकादमी के अध्यक्ष श्री विश्वनाथ प्रसाद तिवारी की अध्यक्षता में गुरूवार 16 जून को अकादमी के कार्यकारी मण्डल की इम्फाल में आयोजित बैठक में की गई। विभिन्न भाशाओं की 24 पुस्तकों को इस पुरस्कार के लिये चयनित किया गया है जिनमें डॉ. सोनी की पुस्तक रणखार शामिल है। ज्ञातव्य है कि पुरस्कार स्वरूप 50 हजार रुपये तथा एक उत्कीर्ण ताम्रफलक प्रदान किया जाता है। इस पुरस्कार के लिये 35 वर्ष से कम आयु के युवा साहित्यकारों को ही चुना जाता है।

Kolvi Caves, Jhalawar

Kolvi Caves are located at Kolvi village in Jhalawar District of Rajastan. They are carved out in laterite rock hill. This Buddhist site has stupas, chaityas containing figures of Buddha. These caves prove that a flourishing Civilization existed here several centuries ago & under the Buddhist influence. The Kolvi village is situated about 90 kms. from Jhalawar. The only rock-cut caves in Rajasthan. The ancient Buddhist caves located in the village Kolvi are of great importance, both archaeologically as well as historically. A colossal figure of Buddha, the carved stupas are some of the highlights of these caves. Similar caves can also be found in nearby villages, which proves the existence of a flourishing civilization several centuries ago and the Buddhist influence in the region.
The Buddhist caves have a collection of over 50 Buddhist, man made caves carved on a desolate hillside. A colossal figure of Buddha and the carved stupas are the most impressive structures in the Buddhist caves. Certain unique trees were found near the monasteries and caves in the Buddhist times. These extraordinary Buddhist caves are believed to belong to the 5th century. It is a short climb to the top where the Buddhist caves are situated. The nearest railway station to reach the Buddhist caves is from Bhawanimandi.

Kalisindh Super Thermal Power plant, Rajasthan

Kalisindh Super Thermal Power plant: World's Tallest Thermal Power Plant is Ready for Production Kalisindh, super thermal power plant located at Jhalawer, Rajasthan is all set to start power production from the month of May, 2013. The capacity of world's tallest super thermal plant with two units of 600 mega watts each is 2.40 crore units of power. Government of Rajasthan is providing financial support to this project, the estimated cost of which is Rs. 7727 crore. The construction of this mega thermal power plant is being looked after by the BGR company. 
Project Highlights:
• Tallest cooling towers 202 mt high.
• 2.40 crore units power production capacity per day
• 20000 tonnes of coal will be consumed in the production
• 80000 houses (approximately) will receive power everyday
• 3200 people will get employment
