• Minister of Forest and Enviorment, Rajkumar Rinwa laid foundation of Marudhara Biological Park in Bichwal region of Bikaner district in December 2015.
• Biological Park, Bikaner will be spread over 445 Hectare land with budget of Rs. 36 core as Rs. 25 Crore was announced in Rajasthan Budget 2015-16 earlier.
• It will be constructed as per guidelines of central Zoo Authority of India (CZAI). 
• वन एवं पर्यावरण मंत्राी राजकुमार रिणवा ने बीकानेर से 11 किलोमीटर दूर बीछवाल क्षेत्रा में मरूधरा बायोलोजिकल पार्क की आधार शिला रखी और इस पार्क को इको ट्यूरिजम के लिए माईल स्टोन बताया। 
• रिणवा ने कहा कि करीब 445 हैक्टेयर क्षेत्रा में 36 करोड़ रूपये की लागत से बनने वाले मरूधरा बायोजिकल पार्क के अस्तित्व में आने के बाद बीकानेर में पर्यटकों की संख्या में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होगी। 
• उन्होंने कहा कि यहां पर विश्व के सर्व श्रेष्ठ श्रेणी का जू (चिडिय़ाघर) बनाने का प्रयास किया जायेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि सेन्ट्रल जू ऑथिरिटी ऑफ इण्डिया (सीजेडएआई) के मापदण्डों के अनरूप यह पार्क बनाया जा रहा है। 
• उन्होंने बताया कि वित्तीय वर्ष 2015-16 के बजट में पार्क के लिए 25 करोड़ रूपये की घोषणा हुई है और जरूरत के मुताबिक और धन राशि उपलब्ध कराई जायेगी।

Rajasthan Joins UDAY Scheme

Rajasthan Government has conveyed its in-principle approval to Ministry of Power (MoP) for joining UDAY Scheme (Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana) .  On  receiving this official communication from Rajasthan Government , Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy has congratulated Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt Vasundhara  Raje  on State joining UDAY.
About Uday Scheme:

• The Scheme – UDAY (Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana) has been launched to improve financial and operational efficiencies of power distribution companies (DISCOMs). It envisages to reduce interest burden, cost of power and AT&C losses. Consequently, DISCOM would become sustainable to supply adequate and reliable power enabling 24x7 power supply. 
• The scheme provides that States would take over 75% debt of Discoms, as on 30th September, 2015 in two years.
• UDAY has inbuilt incentives encouraging State Governments to voluntarily restructure their debts. These incentives include taking over of DISCOM debt by the States outside the fiscal deficit limits; reduction in the cost of power through various measures such as coal linkage rationalization, liberal coal swaps, coal price rationalization, correction in coal grade slippage, allocation of coal linkages at notified prices; priority/additional funding through schemes of MoP & MNRE; and, reduction in interest burden. 
• UDAY is different from earlier restructuring schemes in several ways including flexibility of keeping debt taken over outside fiscal deficit limit, reduction in cost of power and a series of time bound interventions for improving operational efficiency. 
• UDAY provides for measures that will reduce the cost of power generation, which would ultimately benefit consumers.

Rajasthan Has Become Biggest On-land Oil and Gas Producer

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that Rajasthan has become the biggest on-land oil and gas producing region of the country. Now, efforts are being made to establish a refinery very soon so that the state can get full benefit of its rescources. She requested the Union Minister of State for Petroleum Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to esnure supply of domestic gas through pipeline in the cities selected to be developed as smart cities. Smt. Raje was addessing a gathering on the occasion of dedicating Kota-Jobner Multi-product Pipeline and Jobner Terminal to the nation on Friday at Jobner near Jaipur. The CM said that she was prompt to respond on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's call to give-up gas subsidy through 'Give-It-Up' and 'Give-It-Back' campaigns. She said that it was good to learn that this subsidy was being directed the the BPL families.

The Chief Minister said that the condition of roads in the state was pathetic, but now Rajasthan is the second state in terms of construction or renewal of the National Highways. She said that the Gramin Gaurav Paths would resolve the issue of rural women. In Jaipur Rural region, of total 111 sanctioned Gramin Gaurav Paths, about 85 had been completed and the work on missing links was also on the full pace, she added. Highlighting the issue of repeated snags in the plastic pipeline for drinking water supply in Asalpur area of Jobner, Smt. Raje requested the Union Minister of State Shri Pradhan to support laying of a new GI pipeline for water supply. She further requested for CSR and other funds for construction on an ROB in this region. The Union Minister of State Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that the state was progressing ahead and attaining new heights of development. People from all over the world were reaching the state for investment. Such possibilities gained momentum during the recently convened  Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit. He said that the state was enabling itself in the leadership of Smt. Raje despite challenging financial situation.
