-  Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh staged a comeback to the ODI squad after a gap of four years as a second-string team was on Monday named for next month's tour of Zimbabwe with the selectors opting to rest most of the senior players.

- US Supreme Court legalized same sex marriage, holds that gay people can marry in all 50 states of the country.
- China has opened a new, safer and more convenient route for Indians undertaking the arduous Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra as the first batch of pilgrims crossed the Indian border and entered Tibet via Nathu La, in the latest confidence-building measure between the two neighbours.
